JOB SUMMARY

Candidates are expected to teach clinical psychology courses for undergraduate and graduate students while meeting USEK’s requirements for excellence in teaching, research, and service to the University and community.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  1. Design and teach clinical psychology courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
  2. Meet the requirements for excellence in teaching set by USEK
  3. Supervise student’s research master and PhD thesis in clinical psychology
  4. Engage in research/publication and/or creative activities
  5. Supervise student’s internships
  6. Advise, coach and mentor students
  7. Keep course portfolio documents required for program review and quality/accreditation processes
  8. Participate in committee assignments at the department, faculty and university levels;
  9. Participate in student recruitment
  10. Work as part of a team and to be open-minded and cooperative
  11. Participate in professional development activities


EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Doctorate/PhD degree in Psychology with an expertise in clinical psychology;
  2. License in psychology accredited from the Ministry of Public Health;
  3. Demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service to the university;
  4. Demonstrated content knowledge and expertise in clinical psychology;
  5. Relevant teaching experience in higher education using English as the language of instruction;
  6. Research/publications and/or creative activities in the areas of clinical psychology;
  7. International scientific publications in the area of expertise;
  8. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion;
  9. Demonstrated ability or potential to secure external funds for research/projects;
  10. Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and teach courses online;
  11. Demonstrated ability to provide academic and career advising for students.
